Here in Shih Tzus are the Best, we feed all our fur~kids and fur~babies Bil Jack brand. Puppies will come to you with a small bag of Bil Jack food. If you would like to change the brand of food you’re feeding your new pup, you may buy a small bag of the any other food brand you choose and slowly mix them together for over a week or more. This is to prevent tummy issues from changing the food too quickly. Issues from sudden changes can result in constipation or diahrrea. So to prevent this from happening, I would recommend to use Bil Jack for a week or so and then slowly introduce other brand. Remember to buy small bags because some puppies are picky and they have their own likes and dislikes. If they don’t like their food, they will stop eating and their sugar can drop quickly and they can get weak/hypoglycemic. Give them some time to adjust because they can get nervous and not want to try new things. So please don’t panic! As a last note: Always, always remember to shave down around their little booties from time to time so they can go to the bathroom without issues.
